THE STORY OF YOU (mod STEM)

YOU (mod STEM) is a nonprofit organization aiming to provide a high-quality STEM education to anyone with the motivation to learn and an internet connection, regardless of personal circumstances. We realize that there are gaping disparities in the opportunities students in the 21st century receive, as few people have access to a good school system or adequate familial support. Promoting exposure to science in an era in which students are bombarded by curriculum that sucks the ingenuity out of mathematics, physics, chemistry, robotics, etc., through tutoring and personalized lesson plans, is necessary to open the next generation's eyes to the phenomena right under their feet, and by extension mobilize them to become our world's future STEM leaders.

Without people to push me on to pursue STEM, I would never have been exposed to some of my favorite domains, such as ecosystem modeling with differential equations, pure mathematics, plasmonics, and robotics. I hope to reciprocate these actions towards a wider community through this nonprofit organization, such that our next generation will use their curiosity to propel them to strive towards perpetual innovation.

I am one of those people who are crazy enough to believe in their wildest dreams and make them come true. I want to help more people to have confidence to believe that they can achieve their goals by teaching and giving them the tools and motivation to achieve them. I am passionate about STEM, since an early age I have been mesmerized by how we can understand the universe with mathematics and manipulate it with science, that is why I want to break the barriers of science so that humanity can overcome its limits.

From a very young age, I have been close to STEM. I’ve loved its different fields, such as maths, physics, robotics, programming, and now, big data. I want to leave a better world, and for that I believe that we must nurture citizens who question their environment, citizens who think and analyze. This is why my goal is to spread knowledge and motivation to discover new things to young people and encourage them to follow the path of science. As Michael Farady said, "Science people are superior."

If one word were to describe me, it would be passionate. I'm someone seeking to create change, explore, and make an impact on the world through the pursuance of my values and aspirations. In particular, I see the importance of extending educational resources as education is the foundation from which a society grows and develops. Through YOU (mod STEM), I hope to give greater STEM education access to a diverse community of people to work toward the betterment of this world.
A short description about me is that I'm just like any other human: the mere thought of STEM makes me cry in confusion but simultaneously still fascinates me! Not to mention the feeling of pride and relief whenever you end up having a correct answer on a problem. Here in YOU (mod STEM) we want to help you by letting you know that there is always a chance to learn more and that it's okay to reach out for help whenever you're stuck on a lesson.

I am a rising sophomore in Poland passionate about STEM and raising awareness about its ubiquitous applications. I hope to connect my passions with my future by becoming a doctor. The demographics of the STEM field are predominantly held by upper-class and privileged members of society, and not enough by marginalized minorities, whose voices and needs and thus effectively muted, which I hope to change through my work at YOU (mod STEM).

To be brief, about myself I can tell you that I am a student who loves learning alone or accompanied, as well as sharing knowledge. I'm passionate about physics and I have participated in international physics competitions, bringing medals to Mexico. I love music and spending time with animals, as well as spending some of my free time on social causes.

I am passionate about learning new things mainly about Physics, Mathematics and Programming.
